Greenwood Marching Woodmen

Competition this past weekend at Lucas Oil Stadium was intense and we’re not talking about the Colts game. The ISSMA State Finals was held on Saturday and included the top 40 bands in the state separated into 4 classes based on school size. The Greenwood Marching Woodmen compete in class B and finished 3rd. This was the 31st consecutive state finals performance for the Woodmen. Their show is entitled “Nocturne” and features all original music composed by Don Barrett. The Marching Woodmen have 177 members including wind, percussion and auxiliary. The will be competing this weekend in BOA Grand Nationals again at Lucas Oil Stadium. – by Rich Beaman
